TDM Guest House

Miti Miwiri

Miti Miwiri (meaning two trees in Swahili) is a very nice guest house on Ibo.  It is a newly renovated old two-storey house in the old town with a large & lush garden where you can relax, a veranda with magnificent views over the mangrove bay and the stone town.  It also boasts a quirky cocktail bar, and good meals can be arranged with prior notice.  The owners Jorg and Elder can help you arrange plenty of activities on and around Ibo too - guided historical tours, snorkeling, diving, fishing, boat safaris and dhow excursions, island visits, canoeing, bicycle hire and bird watching.  For the time being, there are three excellent value double en-suite rooms at $55 per room per night, and one dorm which costs $65 per night.  More rooms are coming...

Conctact us for bookings and information on how to get to Ibo.

QNP community development projects

Quirimbas National Park community development projects

Initiatives are being put in place to establish alternative tourism routes through the Park, and to set up accommodation facilities in local communities, with Ibo being one example. Homestays on Ibo with a local family have been open since December 2006, with proceeds going directly to the families and the Community tourism association. At only $10 per room per night, the rooms all have mozzie nets and clean bathrooms with a small breakfast.  Please ask Kaskazini for more information and directions or call Ibraimo Assane at +258 825511919
